Lower House is a comfortable, family run, C17th former farmhouse and is ideal for visitors seeking peace and tranquillity. Guests may relax in our beautiful extensive gardens with splendid views of the surrounding hills.

We have four traditionally furnished, comfortable bedrooms in the house all with radio, TV and tea-making facilities. Three bedrooms are en-suite, the fourth has it's own private bathroom with separate shower. There is a large, oak beamed, private sitting room for guests, which in cooler weather features and open log fire.

Stable Cottage is a few paces from the main house and has twin bedded rooms with a bath/shower room on the ground floor. The ground floor bedroom has wheelchair access and is suitable for people with limited mobility. This cottage is ideal for a family of four or two couples travelling together. Children under 10 are welcome in Stable Cottage.

Our delicious Aga cooked breakfasts are freshly prepared using home-grown or local produce. Three course evening meals are available by prior arrangement.

As Lower House is not licensed, guests are welcome to bring their own wine. Lower House is an ideal venue for family get-togethers or exclusive parties. The menus can be adapted to your special requirements. We are a no smoking establishment.
